Daniel and Carolines Wedding

Good day folks,
I did a wedding a few weeks ago of a couple who just look totally happy. Great fun they were and great day.
We started at the Brides house where we photographed the shoes and dress etc then Caroline arrived with her sisters already with the make up done sadly one of the sisters had not long returned from the hospital with food poisoning, she was still up for a photo. We got a few as seen below then off to meet the groom, Dan and his groomsmen. The venue was the Aberdeen winter gardens and it was a bit warm in there under all the glass. After a great ceromony we all went outside and got busy with the camera. Lots of fun and nice people in front of the lens, I love that. On to The Atholl hotel  http://www.atholl-aberdeen.co.uk/  for the meal, speeches and beer. The father of the bride bought myself and my assistant and wife a drink, real nice and it went down in a second.
Anyhow, here are a couple from the day and hope you enjoy.

pre weddding Shoot

Hello to all the millions of blog followers,  ??
Today I am a wee bit hung over to say the least but managed to edit a few pics from a pre wedding shoot I did yesterday. John and Rachel have hired me for the wedding at Fyvie Castle http://www.fyviecastle.com/ this October.
I think its very important do do a pre wedding shoot so as myself and my bride and groom can get used to how I work and I can see what they are comfortable with. I like also to keep intouch on the run up to their day so we build a relationship. With all this in place we are on the right road to getting their entire day photographed from the inside.

We headed down to the riverside in Inverurie to do the photographs however the sun was pretty harsh giving me a few headaches but thats my job to overcome and I think we did that. We had a good laugh and were all pretty relaxed pretty quickly so much so that Johnathon said "please just call me John". He felt like he was in trouble with his mother when I called him Johnathon, every 9 seconds.
Anyway here are a couple of my favourites from this.
Thanks for reading.

My first ever post

Hi There, This is it I have entered the world of blogging... ahhh! The Fear.
I will keep it brief as I will end up waffling away and you will fall asleep.
Where to start..... My name is Paul I am a photographer based in Aberdeen, Scotland. I specialize in, well taking photgraphs of Weddings and landscapes around Scotland.  I love to shoot both equally but for different reasons.
Landscape photography for me is exciting in the planning, pulling out a map and working out the angles of the sun (not in too much depth) then working out where to camp for the night. When I get there I set down the tent make a brew and begin to search for my composition. In the morning and with luck CLICK i get my Image.
Its hard graft sometimes, especially when its -10 but Its so focused that all the worries of the world just don't exist. I got more serious about my work when I met Joe Cornish  http://www.joecornish.com/ (standing in a blizzard) we spent a few days out and about in the Deeside area and he taught me so much.

Weddings, the exact opposite of Landscape photography, you got to be mad or love the pressure.
I love these days , not that im a huge romantic but more for the diversity of opportunity and lighting situations that you MUST overcome and quickly. ITS A CHALLENGE..You know your alive when you are doing a wedding shoot.
I also love people and having a laugh with everyone, life is just to complex and although Im working at wedding I am subtly socializing and this works well for me as I mostly get a shot and thats what Im paid for AND I have a blast too, like a guest.  Then home for the real work POSTPRODUCTION ..................
Anyway I will add some images as I learn how to use this stuff.
Thanks for your time
