Hi there, I have just done some pics of a brand new family, Kerry, John and baby Rhys. We did the photos at my home with my portable studio which was fun. Baby Rhys thought it best that during his prep he should have a poo on some props then take a wee on the carpet and Sofa, once he was satisfied that he was comfortable then we could proceed. Somehow we managed to get some nice pics of his feet, although this was not a straight forward as I thought, his dad John did know it would be tough as little Rhys does not like to straighten his legs for anyone, speed was of the essence. I had an Idea of how I wanted it to look so it worked out well.
The next thing was to get baby and mum with just the right look, this was easy on this occasion as the love was there and the stress levels were non apparent so Mum smiled a big warm loving smile and baby could feel it CLICK and the rest was easy. After a feed baby Rhys decided a nap was in order and then it was time to lie him face down and see what happened as he wriggled for post milky comfort. CLICK next.   Well next was a grand pee, all over the place and me. Oh well thats what happens, a quick clean up and got busy with a brand new mum and dad who have there own personalities as individuals, people with names Kerry and John the couple, not just Mum and Dad, I wanted to capture their intamacy. I asked them to wear black only as I knew I could relax them enough to get their true and natural ambiance, quite shy and loving, they both love a laugh and are clearly in love. Shooting in black and white and with the right post production you can enhance an intimacy between people and this with a great rapport will produce photography that wont go out of fashion. I certainly felt that I could pull it off with excellent results and given Kerrys comments it seems I have.  Prior to the session Kerry was concerned that she would not like any of the photographs with her in them but I knew I could prove her wrong and I did, They are delighted, infact they are over the moon and so am I.

hope you enjoy them and If you ever need some photographs of your brood please do call me or email me via www.paulmackiephotography.co.uk
Thanks again for looking

Claire and Alistair's Wedding at Pittodrie House Hotel

A fantastic wedding at Pittodrie House Hotel last weekend, great couple and very relaxed too. I was looking forward to this one as I had the chance to build up a great rapport with the Bride. I had a good idea of what they were looking for from there photographs and after talking with Claire (the bride) since the wedding I seem to have delivered. They love the photographs........... therefore I am pleased with my work.
Jon, who was the coordinator at Pittodrie house hotel, worked real hard and was very flexible to my ideas for the photos and assisted me in achieving my goals. I especially liked his flame thrower which he used to light the Chinese lanterns.
I wont witter on, instead I will upload some images of the day.
Thanks again,

Paul
